I grew up in Salford. A charity for working-class young people taught me activism at eleven years old and I never forgot the lesson: communities, given the right conditions, can change things for themselves.
Since then I've spent a decade doing exactly that — building community initiatives, convening people across difference, and leading social innovation projects from root cause all the way through to policy implementation. I work where strategy meets people, and where people become collectives.
I'm a founder, a social innovator, a trustee, and a consultant. I operate across the full spectrum — from working-class communities in Salford to boardrooms, funder networks, and national policy conversations. I hold both comfortably and I think that matters.
Work
Founder & Lead · Unlimited Potential, Greater Manchester
A city-wide social innovation programme grounded in one belief: that communities already hold the answers if you create the conditions to surface them. Before building anything, we listened — to over 6,000 people aged 9 to 97, in schools, community centres, barbers' chairs and front rooms across Greater Manchester.
What they told us shaped everything: policy recommendations built alongside the communities they affect, a city-wide public health programme reaching a population of a million, and nationally ground-breaking research that is changing the conversation across thirteen areas of public life. This is what it looks like when you trust communities to lead.
Consultancy · Strategy · Practice
Supporting organisations to design structures where different generations genuinely work together — not just alongside each other. This means building co-leadership models, shifting internal culture, and creating the conditions for young people to hold real power rather than a seat at the table. Available to advise, design, and embed — from strategy through to practice.
UK & Global
Designing better, more sustainable models of fundraising — and developing a deep understanding of philanthropic psychology and what moves funders from transactional giving toward genuine partnership. Has co-designed multiple UK-based and global funds, working with philanthropists, foundations, and community organisations to build funding models that are more honest about power, more responsive to communities, and built to last.
